Renaissance - Performance Added by Popular Demand!
Renaissance performs rarely heard classics, including “Ashes Are Burning” and “Day of the Dreamer,” plus highlights from Symphony of Light.
The British progressive-rock pioneers, featuring vocalist Annie Haslam, reunite for a unique musical experience at NJPAC. Acclaimed throughout a 44-year career for blending prog-rock with classical and symphonic influences, the band has brought its tours to stages worldwide – from Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic to Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to Haslam, the latest incarnation of Renaissance includes Rave Tesar (keyboards), David J. Keyes (bass, vocals), Jason Hart (keyboards, vocals), Ryche Chlanda (guitar, vocals) and Frank Pagano (drums, percussion, vocals).
Haslam’s five-octave voice and the brilliant songwriting and musicianship of the late Michael Dunford remained at the core of Renaissance, despite explorations into solo careers and changes in the lineup over the years. Symphony of Light is the newest of the band’s many albums.
