SAD! A Happy Evening with Stephen Colbert & Samantha Bee
Join Stephen Colbert, the host of CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, when he welcomes Samantha Bee, the host of TBS’ Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, to an evening of provocative hilarity about everything from politics to entertainment and beyond.
Late-night king Stephen Colbert is the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning host and executive producer of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, a role he assumed following his stint as the longest-tenured correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and a successful nine-year run as the star of his own Comedy Central hit, The Colbert Report. Along the way, Colbert has also become an acclaimed author: His I Am America (And So Can You!) spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on The New York Times best-seller list, and the recorded version of his follow-up, America Again: Re-Becoming the Greatness We Never Weren’t, won a 2014 GRAMMY for Best Spoken Word Album. In addition to his Late Show duties, Colbert is at work as executive producer of a new, animated Showtime series centered on the Trump White House.
Like Colbert, Bee followed her long run on The Daily Show by launching her own weekly, late-night comedy series, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. On that Emmy-nominated series, Bee offers a unique satirical take on weekly news and other stories that go overlooked by more traditional media outlets. Bee’s delivery has been described as "fiery and fierce" by The New York Times, and her show classified as a "daring, innovative addition to the late-night slate" by Entertainment Weekly. Bee also co-created the 10-episode TBS comedy series, The Detour, and has appeared on the big screen in Sisters (opposite Tina Fey and Amy Poehler) and Learning to Drive (with Patricia Clarkson and Ben Kingsley).
