SLUT

SLUT, Katie Cappiello’s critically acclaimed play, is inspired by the real experiences of real girls and boldly explores the issues of sexuality and sexual assault in the lives of high school students.

Since its New York City debut in 2013, this drama – described as “vital, moving and absolutely necessary” by The New Yorker – has reached sold-out audiences across the U.S. and around the globe.

In the midst of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements, SLUT (SLUTaPlay.com) provides young people with the power to be proactive. The goal is to inspire communities to #DoItBetter from the start through art and conversation. This play offers students, educators, lawmakers – anyone! – an unprecedented, uncensored glimpse into what teens nationwide are really facing in their hallways, at house parties and online; it creates safe, honest spaces to address sexual aggression head-on and elevate healthy sexuality.

“SLUT creates space for young people, their families, and audiences to communally work through a complicated and painful issue,” writes Newsweek.
