Accessibility




NJPAC has been designed to accommodate the needs of individuals with physical disabilities as follows:

Limited Mobility: Designated seating is held aside for patrons who use a wheelchair and want to remain in the wheelchair, and for patrons who prefer to transfer from the wheelchair or power scooter to the theater seat. Seats are available for purchase adjacent to the wheelchair seating if the patron wishes to bring a companion. NJPAC ushers, if available, may assist patrons from the front door of the theater to their seats. The patron is responsible for getting from the street or parking area to the theater. Online ordering of specifically designated wheelchair-accessible seating will become available in the coming weeks, so please check back soon. Orders can currently be placed by calling toll-free (888) 466-5722.

Hearing Impairment: For patrons with hearing impairments, Sennheiser listening (infrared) devices are available in the lobby of the theater from the House Staff. Patrons will be asked to leave a driver's license or credit card as a deposit. Hearing impaired patrons may place telephone orders for NJPAC tickets by calling our special TTY number 1-877-886-5722.

Little People of America: Seat cushions are available in the lobby of the theater from the House Staff for patrons (adults or children).

 

Open Captioning: Open Captioning is provided at select performances of our Broadway series presentations. Please contact our Ticketing Department for dates and ticket information at (888) 466-5722. Please make sure you ask about the Open Captioned performances when you call.

Audio Description: Audio Description services are offered at Saturday matinee performances of NJPAC's Broadway Series for the benefit of our patrons who are blind or visually impaired. Trained audio describers provide live description of the action and visual elements of the performance, heard only by participating patrons through an ear-piece attached to a pocket-sized FM radio. Please contact our Ticketing Department for dates and ticket information at (888) 466-5722. Please make sure you ask about the Audio Description performances when you call.

 

Sign Language Interpretation: Sign Language Interpretation is available by request for certain performances with sufficient advance notice. Please contact the Ticketing Department at (888) 466-5722 to request.

 

Large Print Programs: Large Print Programs are available. Please ask Guest Services Staff when you arrive.

 

Parking: Accessible parking spaces are available in all NJPAC operated parking lots and the Military Park Garage, on a first-come, first-served basis.
