Sounds of the City

 

This free outdoor music series heats up NJPAC’s Theater Square all summer long, on Thursday evenings, June 24 through August 26. Music on each date will begin at approximately 5:00pm and conclude at 9:45pm. Each evening, three different groups entertain concert-goers from around the region, all of whom made NJPAC “the place to be on Thursdays” when this summer series was introduced over a decade ago.

 

The application period for artists interested in performing as part of the 2010 season of Sounds of the City is now closed.

 

The series opens on June 24 when NJPAC and Purpose Music Group celebrate Michael Jackson with "A Tribute to the King of Pop," featuring Tre Williams, Gordon Chambers, Angela Johnson, Shae Fiol, Maya Azucena, Monet, Darien, Mike Hammond, Abby Dobson, Collette, and DJ Dhundee.

On each Sounds of the City evening, NJPAC offers a special parking rate of $7 at parking lots B and C, and in the Military Park garage.
