Women's Association of NJPAC
Promoting, Advocating, Funding
The Women’s Association is a self-supporting, innovative group established in 1994 as the third leadership arm of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. The Women’s Association is comprised of a Board of Trustees, 34 high-profile women predominantly from New Jersey, who are actively involved in regional and national business endeavors, politics, and cultural and social causes. The group has a general membership of over 200 women. The Association consists of working committees that take on issues of concern to NJPAC. Some committees include the Annual Spring Luncheon, the Annual Spotlight Gala, Membership, and Newark’s Cultural Legacy.
The mission of the Women’s Association of NJPAC is to:
- Conduct outreach activities designed to promote the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in a positive and proactive way, as well as to extend the cultural influence of the performing arts throughout New Jersey
- Initiate and carry out programs and activities to maintain and expand interest in NJPAC
- Plan special events and other initiatives to provide financial support for NJPAC, including the Annual Spotlight Gala and the Annual Spring Luncheon.
