School Partnerships The mission of the NJPAC Arts Education Department is to provide New Jersey children, families, and educators with the opportunity to participate in high-quality performing arts experiences. To this end we offer several partnership opportunities to schools, school districts and community-based organizations.
School District Partnerships School districts interested in taking advantage of the full scope of programming offered by the Arts Education Department can join us as Partnership Districts. School District Partnership participation requirements include a minimum purchase of 2,000 SchoolTime tickets for 66-85 classrooms, and 5 classrooms participating in Artist-in-Residency Programs (district-wide).
Benefits of a School District Partnership with NJPAC:
- Discounts/reduced rates on SchoolTime tickets and residency programs
- Complimentary slots to professional development activities (based on availability)
- Priority notice of professional development workshops
- Priority notice and purchase opportunity for upcoming SchoolTime performance series
- Priority participation in special projects at NJPAC
Consortium Partnerships Do you have a small district? Partner with other districts to create a consortium partnership! This new partnership structure allows smaller private, charter, parochial and even public schools to join with their colleagues to fulfill the requirements for partnership status so that their students and educators can enjoy the benefits of NJPAC’s high-quality Arts Education programs and performances. As a member school or district associated with a consortium partnership, you have the opportunity to benefit from the discounted SchoolTime performance ticket price and discounted participation in Professional Development Workshops.
School Partners Individual schools that purchase 5 or more NJPAC artist-in-residency programs join the ranks of NJPAC school partners. The participation in the artist-in-residency programs includes several layers of Professional Development along with SchoolTime tickets and family workshops.
Community Service Organization Partnerships We are pleased to offer a partnership package specifically geared for Community-Based Organizations that offer after-school or weekend enrichment programs. Interested organizations can choose from the full season of FamilyTime performances, and after-school artist-in-residency programs. As with all performance opportunities, curriculum materials are provided prior to the performance. These materials can be utilized by program staff members to further extend the educational value of performances. Residency activities can include instruction in dance and theater.
