Atlantic recording artist Jason Mraz will perform at NJPAC to celebrate his latest album, “YES!,” released earlier this year. The “YES!” tour is a unique itinerary that sees the multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter performing in an array of intimate venues around the world. Mraz continues to celebrate his fifth studio album choosing to perform at historic venues around the globe including NJPAC, other historic theatres and concert halls include London’s Royal Albert Hall, Paris’ Casino de Paris, and Amsterdam’s Royal Theatre Carré.
Mraz recently partnered with the incredible Melodic Caring Project, in which one of his shows was live streamed to children that were unable to be there due to a medical condition. The Melodic Caring Project is a non-profit organization which bridges the gap between music, technology and patients battling serious illness by streaming live personalized concerts to kids and teens in the hospital. Jason dedicated each song to a child at home. The video can be seen here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiagPj-cH1Y&feature=youtu.be or jasonmraz.com/tour
About Jubilation featuring Dionne Warwick
Through song and narration, this uplifting program about the Black experience travels from Africa, to the horrific sea voyages known as the Middle Passage, to the civil rights movement and present day.
Created by the Rev. Dr. Stefanie R. Minatee to raise awareness of Black history, the concert soars with time-honored gospel and spirituals, as well as “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” performed by Warwick, a music industry legend.
From the Middle Passage refers to the middle leg in the torturous journey of millions of Africans from their homelands to their final destination in the New World. Images, words and music all combine into a powerful, moving event.
