Bring your students for an in-person field trip to NJPAC for this imaginative remix of the classic fable of The Tortoise and the Hare. Years after the original story took place, Old man Tortoise and Big Daddy Hare are now parents with children of their own. Tortoise Junior and Lil’ Hare live in a world of smartphones and video games. They’re in a whole new kind of race—a technological race—and their online adventures lead them into unexpected territory. Can their dads overcome their differences to find and save the kids? With dazzling visuals, poignant storytelling and the creative use of music from classical to pop, this production by Lightwire Theater Company brings an old tale into a new light.
