Overview

“I don’t sing for charts, I sing for hearts.”

–Beres Hammond

It’s always a party when Beres Hammond comes to NJPAC. Revel in a night of reggae with the legendary Jamaican lovers rock singer and his special guest Mikey Spice. Feel the unity and feel the love!

Beres Hammond brought us so many unforgettable reggae gems: “I Feel Good,” “One Love, One Life,” “Rockaway,” “Groovy Little Thing.” He’s lent his signature, smoky-sweet style to every kind of riddim track, from the funked-up reggae jams of 1970s fusion to the lush instrumentation of his classic Soul Reggae LP, to the spare digital beats of his dancehall breakthrough, What One Dance Can Do.

Reggae balladeer and multi-instrumentalist Mikey Spice is known for his cover of Barry White’s “Practice What You Preach.” Raised in his father’s church, he’ll lift your spirits with songs like “I Believe,” “True Believer in Love” and more.

“The comfy but earthy governor of grown-up reggae, Beres Hammond has long been the last word in laid-back lovers serenades.”
