GRIEG Piano Concerto

STRAVINSKY Petrushka (1947)

Picture a silver waterfall plunging from a towering mountain into a fjord below—and you have the opening of Grieg’s Piano Concerto. An exquisite painter at the piano, Vladimir Feltsman brings the concerto’s hold-your-breath moments to vivid life. Andrey Boreyko’s New Jersey Symphony debut also features a pathbreaking ballet by his countryman Igor Stravinsky and a new work by living legend Thomas Adès.
