Héctor Acosta (“El Torito”) and Milly Quezada

A Father’s Day celebration featuring high-energy music from the Dominican Republic, courtesy of two of world music’s leading vocalists: best-selling bachata and Latin pop star Héctor Acosta (“El Torito”) and Milly Quezada, known worldwide as “The Queen of Merengue.”

With a career that’s spanned over two decades, Latin GRAMMY nominee Héctor Acosta has become known for irresistible Latin beats that draw on Dominican musical traditions. Since the release of his 2006 debut album, Sigo Siendo Yo, Acosta has become known for a string of hits, including “Me Voy” and “Sin Perdon.” A regular on the Billboard charts, his fifth studio album, Con el Corazon Abierto, includes the lead single “Tu Veneno,” which became Acosta’s third No. 1 hit on the Tropical Songs chart.

Four-time Latin GRAMMY winner Milly Quezada is one of the world’s leading proponents of merengue, the fastest of the Latin American dance music styles.  Quezada first hit the scene as part of Milly, Jocelyn & Los Vecinos, a group she formed with her siblings. Since the 1990s, she’s been known primarily as a solo artist, taking Dominican music around the world with tours of Japan, Spain, Central and South America, and the U.S. Quezada’s biggest hits include “Lo Tengo Todo,” “Porque Me Amaste,” “Vive” and “Toma Mi Vida.”

NICO Kitchen + Bar will be open for this performance.
