National Dance Institute: At the River’s Edge
The exuberant young dancers of National Dance Institute return to NJPAC with a new, original production that celebrates the cultures, creatures and cities that thrive “at the river’s edge.”
Featuring original choreography and music performed live, At the River’s Edge will showcase members of the National Dance Institute's Celebration Team as they samba in the Amazon, strut along the Hudson, pay homage to the Ganges, and set sail on the Mississippi, all in a vibrant production inspired by the power of mighty rivers. These young dancers range in age from 9 to 15, and are drawn from schools throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Experience the magic of NDI! Children of all ages and all levels are invited to join NDI teaching artists on stage for a pre-curtain workshop at 2:30pm. This high-energy dance class features instruction in NDI choreography, accompanied by live music. Then take your seat and enjoy the performance!
