A concert of romantic, high-energy music with Shaan – the “Golden Voice of India” and one of Bollywood’s most popular vocalists – preceded by a Turn the Tide town hall meeting and panel discussion about opioid addiction.
Shaan - aka Shantanu Mukherjee - the "Golden Voice of India" and one of Bollywood's most in-demand playback singers, presents a concert of romantic, high-energy music at NJPAC. Active in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Urdu, Telugu and Kannada films, Shaan's vocals are featured in the popular movies Fanaa Dus,Saawariya, Jhankaar Beats and Kya Dil Ne Kahan. He is also widely known as a television host, on programs like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs, and The Voice: India.
The evening's concert is being presented to raise awareness of opioid addiction and will be preceded by Turn the Tide, a town hall-style meeting and discussion in the Chase Room at 7pm.
Presented by the American Pain Association (APA) and led by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, President of the APA, Turn the Tide will feature a panel of experts who will outline strategies for protecting loved ones against the dangers of drug addiction. The forum is free to all ticket holders at the $99 level and above; refreshments will be served.
Sanjay Gupta, M.D. is a board-certified Interventional Pain Specialist and President of the American Pain Association. He is the Director of Mainline Pain Management, part of the Atlantic Pain Institute. Dr. Gupta received his interventional pain training at Harvard Medical School and has lectured worldwide on medical topics. He is the co-founder and CEO of DrCircle.com, a leading web portal and social networking website for physicians.
