NJPAC
Welcome to NJPAC, the anchor cultural institution for the city of Newark and the state of New Jersey.
A nonprofit arts organization, NJPAC enhances and transforms lives every day. We delight audiences with world-class performances on our own stages, and produce concerts and festivals at venues around the region. We’re proud that both the artists we present and the audiences who fill our theaters represent all the incredibly diverse communities that call New Jersey “home.”
We present and produce pop, R&B, hip hop, jazz, classical and world music concerts, dance and spoken word poetry performances, comedy shows and conversations with artists, politicians, filmmakers and activists. And our original NJPAC productions, like the award-winning The Hip Hop Nutcracker, tour the country and extend our reach to national audiences.
We’re also pushing the boundaries of what an Arts Center can do. Through our extensive Social Impact programming, we harness the power of the arts to benefit everyone in our community through comprehensive arts education programs, free neighborhood performances, and events that leverage the arts to improve mental and physical health. And our real estate redevelopment projects are helping to reimagine and revitalize Newark.
