Sure, we host world-class performances on our stages in Newark. We’re also taking our show on the road, producing and presenting exciting work across the country and around the world. Here’s what we’re doing and where we’re going.
The Hip Hop Nutcracker
A holiday mash-up for the whole family, the Hip Hop Nutcracker is an NJPAC production that re-imagines Tchaikovsky’s classic score through explosive hip hop choreography. Touring this holiday season to a city near you.
Jazz in the Key of Ellison
A celebration of the works of Ralph Ellison and the extraordinary voices that bring the music of language to life. This multimedia concert, conceptualized by Audible founder Don Katz, features music by Ralph Ellison’s favorite artists including Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, and Thelonious Monk.
Showtime with Shakespeare
Our latest NJPAC production: a hip hop hit with kids and grown-ups alike, based on the beloved “Magic Tree House” series of children’s books by New York Times best-selling author Mary Pope Osborne.
NJPAC in Asbury Park
We’re proud to partner with Madison Marquette to produce live performances, arts education, and community engagement events in legendary Asbury Park. We’re booking top-tier entertainment at the Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre, and joining forces with local schools to bring programming to kids.
NJPAC @ KINGS THEATRE
Some NJPAC performers are so exciting, they can’t be contained to just one stage. That’s why we partner with the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. This stunningly restored 1929 movie palace is a treasure of the Flatbush neighborhood and the entire tri-state region.
NJPAC produces shows throughout the New York metro area, sharing a talented roster of high-caliber artists with our neighbors. Some of our frequently visited venues include: The Kings Theatre, Barclays Center, Radio City Music Hall, Nassau Coliseum, Prudential Center, and Symphony Hall.
