Books on the Move — where stories come to life! Celebrate artists of color with interactive readings of picture books about musical icons and artistic legends. Literacy is fun when movement, art and the spoken word combine.

Jazz in the Stacks follows Books on the Move events at the Newark Public Library. This series features performances by Arts Education’s TD Jazz for Teens, bringing the next generation of musical sensations to different branches each month.

Celebrate AAPI Month at Hoboken Public Library with NJPAC’s signature programs Books on the Move and Jazz in the Stacks!

The program opens with Books on the Move, celebrating artists of color with interactive readings of picture books about musical icons and artistic legends. This season’s book is Playing at the Border: A Story of Yo-Yo Ma by Joanna Ho and illustrated by Teresa Martinez.

Jazz in the Stacks follows story time. Listen to musicians filling the quiet of Hoboken Public Library with the sounds of smooth jazz. The series features performances by TD Jazz for Teens, NJPAC’s signature Arts Education program, bringing the next generation of musical sensations to different library branches each month.
