Transforming Philanthropy: Tanuja Dehne on refocusing the mission of the Dodge

Tanuja Dehne

More than five years ago, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation set a course to create a more equitable New Jersey. Over the past two years, the effects of climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a continuing reckoning with racial injustice have brought into stark relief the need for a sharpened focus on repairing the root causes of structural racism and inequities in our state. Since taking the helm in 2019, Tanuja Dehne has led the Foundation’s internal culture shift while also seeking strategic partners whose work focuses on advocacy; policy change; building economic, political, and cultural power; and repairing unjust systems.

Join NJPAC at 9AM on Tuesday, November 16, for a Business Partners Roundtable virtual event with Tanuja that centers on how the Dodge Board and Staff are transforming the Dodge Foundation, and what insights this journey can offer all organizations, non-profit and for-profit, that wish to put actions to words as they reimagine their work through the lens of justice, equity and inclusion.
