Take a field trip right from home! Don’t miss this virtual celebration of the stories and songs of Haiti

Invite your students to a virtual celebration of Haitian art and culture with Inez Barlatier! A multifaceted performer of Ayisyen (Haitian) descent, Inez leads students on a journey to a land rich with history that has often been overlooked.

The performance features energetic drumming, singing, colorful costumes, traditional dances, folktales, and visual art. Inez’s musical performance is accompanied by her father and master percussionist, Jan Sebon, and several other talented young artists. Students will learn songs and phrases in Creole that explore themes of community, respect, and gratitude.
