Come and be inspired by Newark’s landscapes and scenery at a visual arts workshop through the eyes of Malik Whitaker, one of its hometown creatives. Whitaker, who grew up in Clinton Hill, is a published illustrator, educator, muralist and visual painter who will take participants through his creative process and aspects of the city that inspire his work. Participants will also have the opportunity to dive into art making as they rotate through different stations including watercolor, communal painting, photography and stencil artwork.
