Overview
Imagine having to choose between paying for gas or buying milk? Or not having access to fresh fruits and vegetables? This is how nearly one million residents in New Jersey live.
Join us for a live film screening and conversation on building food security in New Jersey. For those who struggle to obtain healthy food, the program will also include giveaways and resources from partner organizations including MEND and Tree House Cares.
The PSEG Social Impact film is Food for Thought: The Path to Food Security in Newark. This documentary was filmed by Newark students who speak out about hunger and highlight community leaders who are champions of change.
Following the screening, Jasmyne Beckford, Program Manager in Inclusive Solutions at Prudential Financial, will moderate a panel conversation on grassroots efforts to nourish New Jersey neighborhoods.
