I’m an experienced music professional and journalist turned podcaster. In 2017, I started co-hosting “The Internal Quest Show with Dani” on Spotify. On The IQ Show, I interview guests, discuss trending topics and educate listeners on the music business with my “Music Geek News” segment that breaks down music publishing, performing rights, and contest opportunities.
I’ve written for The Source Magazine, AllHipHop.com, and many other Hip-Hop publications to interning for notable companies like Def Jam Records and VH1.com. Over 10 years, I’ve coordinated music showcases and beat battles which have changed career paths from one local celeb, NADUS, to an international star (http://bit.ly/NewarkStarLedger). I’ve honed my skills by working at Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) and Harry Fox Agency (HFA) in NYC, where I assisted music industry powerhouses Skyzoo, Craig Kallman, El Da Sensei, Guilty Simpson, Missing Link Music, George Clinton, and many more high profile clients.
My diverse background has allowed me to assist musicians with their music publishing, performing rights, and their overall brand through my own consultant business, DV Creative Brands. As a music business consultant, I independently craft effective music business workshops for emerging artists, design press materials (Press Releases, Bios, Pitches) for musicians and non-profit organizations within NJ/NYC.
I’m also the Senior Manager of Programming and Performances at NJPAC Center For Arts Education in Newark, NJ. I produce insightful, informative, and entertaining masterclasses called The Creator’s Room that spark conversation about music licensing, branding, behind-the-scenes look into songwriting, music producing, event curation, and more. I also produce internal Arts Education events for registered students and alumni.
