National Dance Institute: Voices of Change
National Dance Institute, founded by ballet legend Jacques d’Amboise, returns to NJPAC with a new work about activism and change performed by its highly trained, brilliant young performers.
Audiences are moved by the power and exuberance of National Dance Institute’s Celebration Team, which is back with another original production. Voices of Change explores activism by shining a light on individuals whose words have changed the world for the better.
Children of all ages and levels of dance experience are invited to participate in a free class with NDI teaching artists at 3:30pm, before taking their seats. The workshop, which is accompanied by live music, introduces children to NDI’s high-energy choreography.
NDI was founded in 1976 by Jacques d’Amboise, one of the finest classical dancers of our time, and is under the artistic direction of Ellen Weinstein. Its program, which has reached more than 2 million children, uses dance and music to instill in students a love of the arts, a passion for learning, and a desire to strive for their personal best.
NICO Kitchen + Bar will be open for this performance.
