In this workshop, participants will learn how hip hop culture and its various elements can be implemented in the classroom to deepen student understanding of social justice issues. Teachers will participate and reflect on performance-based strategies that address topics such as identity, conflict resolution, and cultural awareness.

  • Integrate Hip Hop cultural practices into their teaching in order to transform their classroom learning environment.
  • Discover how to use Hip Hop teaching strategies to engage students and support their social & emotional development.
  • Participate in Hip Hop activities that encourage creativity and promote authentic self-expression.
