Tired of relying on pre-made lesson plans? Want to take your own lesson building skills a bit further? In this course, we’ll unpack the role of play and process in Orff Schulwerk, experience and synthesize exemplary music lessons, and prepare ourselves for building our own unique and student-driven lessons.

Whether teaching online or in a face-to-face teaching environment, music teachers have the opportunity to explore the creative arts of music and movement with children. This course is an invitation to discover the possibilities of Orff Schulwerk, an engaging and playful approach to becoming a more creative and collaborative music-maker. We can build these skills together and they can be implemented when instructing students in the future online or face-to-face environments. Drue Bullington and Matthew Stensrud, two seasoned Orff Schulwerk teacher educators, will help get you started and guide you to design creative lessons with confidence.
