During this course, participants will explore the variety of ways they can incorporate children’s literature and poetry into their music room. With a focus on diverse and inclusive stories and poems that can be implemented from day one of your school year, the instructors will guide you through many creative and engaging ways a book can be used both in conjunction with your music curriculum and as a way to build relationships in your classroom.

Course Credit: 12.5 Professional Development Hours

Graduate credit available through William Paterson University at an additional fee.

Prerequisite: The successful completion of an undergraduate music education degree
