Bluegrass fans, there’s cause to celebrate: Nickel Creek is back on tour. The trio includes mandolinist Chris Thile (Live from Here / A Prairie Home Companion), fiddler Sara Watkins (Watkins Family Hour, I’m With Her) and guitarist Sean Watkins (Watkins Family Hour, Fiction Family). Known for revolutionizing bluegrass in the early 2000s, the group recently released Celebrants, their first new album in nine years. It features the audacious Americana sound you’d expect from the widely praised GRAMMY® winners, with virtuosic picking, shiver-inducing harmonies and poetic yet plain-spoken lyrics.
