Please join us for a celebration of Newark’s Dodge Poetry in the Community Youth Poetry Anthology release!
This free event will celebrate the youth poets who have been writing and performing their own work as part of Dodge Poetry in the Community program this past fall, which connected youth poets across the city with Newark-based mentor poets and Rutgers-Newark MFA candidates for a series of workshops across community partner sites. This event will commemorate the release of their work in a printed anthology, including a teen open mic and party, complete with a DJ and free food and beverages.
Teens are welcome to walk-in and sign up for the open mic. Family and friends of youth poets are invited as well!
Registered attendees will have an opportunity to win a $25 VISA gift card.
Lunch will be served.
