Overview

Don’t miss out on this week’s Wellness Wednesday workshop: a contemporary ballet class with Anitra Keegan!

Born in Seoul, Korea, and raised in Holmdel, New Jersey, Anitra brings a wholly unique and diverse approach to her passion for dance. With close to three decades of experience, she
began her professional career in Philadelphia with the Pennsylvania Ballet, where she performed in classical works such as George Balanchine’s The Four Temperaments, Western Symphony, and Who Cares? She was later accepted to the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.

Since graduating, she has danced with the Ohio Ballet, DancesPatrelle, Chamber Dance Project, BalletNY, and BalletX. In 2018 she joined Nimbus Dance, where she is now the Associate Artistic Director. Now, for NJPAC, Anitra will teach a one-hour contemporary ballet class that will incorporate elements of both classical ballet and modern dance. Tune in for this versatile class on May 19 at 7:30 PM.
